Please find below useful information about starting at Wimbledon High School. We suggest that you read through as much of this information as possible before your daughter joins us. Please note that you will only be able to set up your Firefly and ParentPay accounts once your daughter has been admitted on her first day.

Practical details

  • What are the hours of the school day? In Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, the school day runs from 08:30am to 15:15pm. Morning drop-off is at 8.20am.
  • What should my daughter bring with her on her first day of school? She should bring her book bag with her water bottle and a healthy, nut free snack for Year 1 & 2. Reception will have a snack provided to them.
  • What uniform should my daughter wear on her first day? She should wear whichever WHS uniform is appropriate for the current weather conditions.
  • How do I report my daughter's absence? Please call the Junior School office on 020 0971 0902 or email junior.absence@wim.gdst.net.
  • Can you provide a class list? When can we start to meet other parents?
Due to GDPR regulations, we are not able to distribute class lists, however we are able to share parent contact details with the new year group Class Reps, who usually aim to organise some get-togethers over the course of the summer holiday before school begins.

Information about Fees, ParentPay and Cashless catering

  • When will I receive the first invoice and when is the first fee payment due? All fees matters are handled centrally by the fees department as the GDST Trust Office. In August, the Trust office will send you your invoice (usually by email) for the first fee payment. For all new starters, the first school fee payment will be due on the first day of term.
  • What date is the direct debit payment taken? For those paying by monthly Direct Debit, fees are split into 12 equal amounts and payment will be taken on the 5th day of each month (or the next working day after). For those paying by termly Direct Debit, fees are split into 3 equal amounts and payment will be taken on the first day of each term.
