Developing partnerships is one of the key strategic aims of the school and we are fully committed to fostering links and developing projects locally, nationally and internationally. The aim is to broaden experiences for our students as well as bring opportunities for partner children and staff to collaborate and share ideas.
Wimbledon enjoys strong relationships with their primary hub, schools, for which the WHS Year 11 & 12 students mentor students across Year 4, 5 and 6. There are also wide ranging Secondary collaborations with the secondary hub. In addition, WHS Community programmes are diverse with opportunities in specialist schools, old people homes, Guilds and the prison service.
It is an absolute joy building such strong relationships with local primary and secondary schools and within the community. Watching the relationships flourish between the students and residents and seeing the confidence and understanding of each other develop, is so inspiring. It really feels like we are moving forward as a community together.
