Below are some comments from WHS students who have participated in a Partnership Project:
"...how rewarding it is when you make a breakthrough
with one of [the students], or see them achieve something they didn’t think or
know that they could".
"I knew a lot of the girls who I was teaching as many
of them get the same bus as me and I had previously found them very scary
however now, after having taught them, we sit together on the bus most days and
I feel like I have made new friends."
"[I] would like to have covered the topics more
efficiently with more detail."
"...it was hard
because sometimes [the students] didn't turn up to the lessons and sometimes it
was hard to help them because we only see them for a limited time a week."
"It has definitely changed my perspective of the school
and I have learnt to relate to girls who may have different backgrounds to me
with greater ease".

thought it was as most of the students there are very welcoming.

as the children seemed to really enjoy what we were teaching them and be
excited to answer questions. "

different environment in a local school... it doesn’t appear as
intimidating/scary as before, but instead it has become an enjoyable experience
where I get to see their delight in learning new things."

schools. It gave me an insight into how lucky we are to have such a range of
facilities.."
