We are delighted to share an update on Y9 Layla’s recent gymnastics achievements, including her impressive international debut representing Great Britain in Dresden, Germany.

At her first international assignment representing Great Britain at a competition in Dresden, Germany, Layla helped Team GB secure a bronze team medal. She also finished 9th in the All-Around and was the highest-scoring gymnast for Great Britain, achieving this while still recovering from a sprained knee sustained a couple of weeks earlier.

Over the past few months, Layla has also become the South East FIG Aspire All-Around Champion at the Regional Championships and the Aspire All-Around Champion at the Sandra Clarke Challenge Cup, where she also won gold on Bars, Beam and Floor.

More recently, despite sustaining a knee sprain just two days before the British Club Teams Championships, she competed on Bars, finishing 10th in Junior Bars and helping Tolworth Gymnastics Club secure team bronze.

We are incredibly proud of Layla’s achievements and determination, particularly as she continues to balance the demands of competitive gymnastics, manage injury setbacks and keep up with her schoolwork. A huge congratulations Layla
