The first match of the season was a success with high spirits despite the rain pouring down later on.

We lost the toss and batted first with Alicia A and Caitlin H opening and scoring and impressive 257 run partnership, great efforts form Caitlin scoring 103.  As we went out to field the rain started to come down however it did not dampen the mood as there was some great bowling and some stunning fielding especially from Saskia P with her sliding.

We took wickets consistently in spite of the ball being very wet and won the game in 17.3 overs getting them all out. 

Overall a great match and we can't wait for the rest of the season.
