Walton regatta saw the Yr8s and Yr9s racing over 1000m,
knock out, one on one style. It was an awesome day of racing and experience for
all our girls. For the Yr8s it was their first ever race! Our Yr9s had a great
regatta! With Caitlyn D and Carolina M D A winning the J14
double!
Report of London youth games Sunday 9 June
We had a few rowers from yrs. 7, 8, 9 and 10 competing at the London Youth Games in the indoor rowing competition, our girls represented Merton proudly. All of them did so well, racing hard on the rowing machines! All our year 8s were in the top ten which was an amazing achievement!
We are delighted to provide an update.....Bella S and her team travelled to Wolverhampton on Saturday . The top four teams from the South competed against the top four from the North. It was great netball and Bella’s Shan team came second…amazing! They were thrilled!
We hear it was a very close match - well done Bella and the team, a fantastic achievement.
Congratulations to Bella S and her Shan Netball team who played
their final match in the Nationals Southern Conference on Saturday - they came
third in the South so will now go to Walsall at the end of May to play the top
4 teams from the North…..very exciting!
Kiana and Rochelle O, Rhea M and Alisa N put on a great performance in Wednesday's Aberdare Cup 3th Round, with a 10-2 win against Cranleigh School.
Congratulations and best of luck against Peter Symonds' College next week in the 4th Round of the Cup.
On Friday 10 May WHS hosted the annual Road to Wimbledon U14 Tournament where 10 girls from the Tennis Performance Pathway competed in a round robin tournament.
The winner was Rhea M (Y9) and the Runner up was Issy B (Y8), following closely behind was Tara O (Y7).
