Farrah W (yr11) National Netball Competition - Sisters n Sport June 2024

Farrah and her U17 Eagles team made it through to the Sisters n Sport Club Cup final weekend. They played Bury in the quarter finals, and while the game started as quite close, Eagles pulled away and won by a comfortable margin. They then played Poole in the semi-finals; a team comprised of several England pathway players. The teams were drawing for the majority of the game, until Eagles managed to take a three-goal lead and win the game.

They played Turnford in the finals, who they unfortunately lost to, but it was a fantastic effort by all regardless, to take 2nd place at a National Competition.

WHS Boat Club - Henley and Thames Valley Park Regattas June 2024

'The Wimbledon rowing team had a busy and successful weekend! With senior rowers competing at Henley Women's Regatta and J13s-J15s racing at the Thames Valley Park Regatta. On Saturday at Henley Women's, both a senior four and a J16 crew participated in time trials to qualify for the knockout stages. While the senior four narrowly missed advancing, the J16 crew excelled, securing a spot in the top 8 out of 22 crews and advancing to the quarterfinals, where they came from behind to reach the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon. Despite a strong effort, they just missed out on reaching the finals. Meanwhile, at the Thames Valley Park Regatta on Sunday, the J13 and J14 crews showcased fast racing in coxed quads, with some J14 rowers stepping up to join the J15s in racing two octos, one of which won their final. Additionally, the J15s delivered stellar performances in the coxed four. Congratulations to all the rowers for their dedication and hard work!'
