Layla S (Yr 7) Gymnastics update - International competition

In May I competed in my second overseas international gymnastics competition at the Aland Invitational in Finland. This event featured two competition levels: the FIG competition and the Modified FIG competition. I competed in the Modified FIG competition, facing off against some of the more advanced and mostly older gymnasts from various international clubs.

My competition highlight was coming 2nd and securing a silver medal in the bars apparatus finals.

Additionally, even with two falls and being one of the youngest competitors in this high-level competition category, I managed to place 5th All Around overall.

U12C and U12D Cricket teams v Streatham and Clapham School

U12C

The C team played against Streatham & Clapham’s A team and it was a tough game.

The player of the match on our team was Bertie, who ran out their batter to get our only wicket. Our only boundary was hit by Florence but as a team we hit lots of singles and 2’s.

Lola H and Antonia M (Yr8) Shan Netball update

Lola and Antonia in the Shan Netball Team, came 4th in the ENG Grand Finals this weekend.

They had a very close quarter final, going into extra time where they managed to take the win.

In the semi-final they lost by a very slim margin, which put them through to the third/fourth place playoff. They lost this game by two, but the whole team rose to the occasion and left everything on the court.
