Y7

Year 7 is a key and very special transition point, when students move up from their very familiar Junior (primary or prep) School, where they are at the top of the school, into the unfamiliar but exciting world of Senior School. Inevitably all sorts of thoughts and feeling can arise and it is so important students are supported on this journey.

Here are a few words of encouragement and wisdom from some previous Year 7s.

  • “I have enjoyed it so much!! I have made the best friends ever! Also, I feel so grown up going to each lesson.”
  • “I have absolutely loved the variety of clubs, how warm and welcome everybody is- all the textbooks and exercise books, the homework, the laptops, the amazing facilities - and definitely how delicious the lunch is!
  • “So far, I have enjoyed meeting so many lovely teachers and making new friends. I have also loved getting involved in new activities and challenging myself with new skills.”
  • “What has surprised me the most, was the fact that I have sort of figured out where I'm going even though there are so many different rooms!”
