Class List
- Can you provide a class list? When can we start meeting
other parents?Due to GDPR regulations, we are not able to distribute class
lists. However, we are able to share parent contact details with the new Class
Representatives for parents who have consented via the Pre-Admissions forms. The Class Representatives usually aim to organise some get-togethers over the course
of the summer holiday before school begins.
You will also have the opportunity to start meeting fellow new parents at our welcome evenings in September.

Fees
- When will I receive the first invoice and when is the
first fee payment due? All fee matters are handled centrally by the GDST Trust
Office.
In August, the Trust Office will send your invoice (usually by email) for the first fee payment.
For all new starters, the first school fee payment will be due on the first day of term. - When are Direct Debit payments taken? For those paying by monthly Direct Debit, fees are split
into 12 equal amounts and payment will be due on (or the next working day
after) the 5th day of each month.
For those paying by termly Direct Debit, fees are split into 3 equal amounts and payment will be due on the first day of each term.
School Day
- What are the timings for the school day? Information about the structure of the school day, including start and finish times can be found here. You can find a sample timetable here.
- How are students expected to organise their work and homework? You can find information on homework, school planner and lockers here.
- How do students travel to the sports ground? We impress upon students that they must walk to the sports ground in groups of three or more. For the first few weeks, staff will accompany the students; thereafter, they will make their way in groups independently.

Contacting the school
- How do I contact WHS or report an absence? If you are alerting us to your daughter’s absence, please contact reception via senior.absence@wim.gdst.net, copying in your daughter’s form tutor, or you can leave a voicemail 020 8971 0900. Please do this before 8.30am on each day that your daughter is absent, including a reason for the absence. Further information about contacting WHS can be found here.
