U13 C
The player of the match was Juliet Rayman. I think we need to improve on making sure we use both sides of the court and the main thing, which is to slow it down, but we worked very well, and I think the shooters also worked great together
U13 D
The players of the match were Maya Patel and Connie Turner. We need to work on getting in front of the player when receiving the ball instead of receiving it behind the defender as the ball was constantly being dropped and intercepted. The goals were mainly scored by Anoushka Babel and Sophie Mansfield (2 were also scored by Annabel Bartman). Furthermore we should be careful with obstruction and moving one meter away before putting our hands up, but we worked really well together and won the match.
U12 A
Another determined team performance from the U12 A’s against an energetic Epsom team. We started strongly, with the attacking unit working well together executing good passes. We were 4-1 up before the quarter finished 4-2.
The opposition came back in the second, but our defence stayed tight on their players and won some good ball from their shooters. However, the quarter finished a close 8-7.
Our toughest quarter was the third as Epsom gained some momentum, but we kept close with them and worked hard in defence to gain possession and keep the score close. The 3rd quarter finished 10-11.
An excellent final quarter from us sealed the win. We all showed positive determination to keep possession and in attack to take advantage of our shooting opportunities. The result was 14-13 - a hard fought win for the team.
Congratulations to Nicole for getting player of the match
U12 C
The overall score was 4-4. We unfortunately were not able to play the last quarter due to an injury.
We played a very good game including lots of drives allowing us to progress down the court. We needed to work on sticking on our player and unforced errors.
All of our goals were scored by Lara Flew. Claudia Abbott intercepted many of Epsom’s passes. June Benito Monleon was an amazing centre and helped keep the game moving. Sophia Nicholson was a very good WD. She didn’t make any unforced errors and was very good at moving the ball up and down the court.
The player of the match was Lara Flew because of all the amazing goals she scored, and the team captain was Sienna Dawson.
U12 E
A very successful game, we won 10-3. Overall, match play was great, but there were a few things to work on. For example, keeping the ball when it is passed to you. The ball would be thrown at you, and you would drop it and lose possession.
